I grew up in California's San Joaquin Valley (Bakersfield, Fresno), attended two years at (Modesto Junior College), three years at (Point Loma Nazarene University) from where I graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy/Theology and a certificate in Music. In May, 2008, I graduated from (Nazarene Theological Seminary) (in Kansas City, Missouri) as a dual major: Master of Divinity / Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies. I remain a member of the Christian Denomination in which I grew up--(The Church of the Nazarene), which was founded on following Christ among the poor and oppressed. I currently attend Kansas City First Hispanic Church of the Nazarene, where I help sing and play guitar in the church band. I also have a great job here with (UPS), which is a hard yet rewarding place to work; unfortunately many poor people have no choice but to work in hard and unrewarding conditions.
